I attended an EPWN seminar on how to use social media to create a buzz for your business. Today we are not just connected through social media, but we are actually doing business through these channels. The big players are Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. The European Professional Women’s Network of Marseille has a club just for entrepreneurs. It’s called the E-Club and we meet once a month for lunch at a restaurant. The March meeting was held at Pain et Companie in Marseille’s Vieux Port area. It’s nice to have the camaraderie of other women also starting or running their own businesses here in France. During the meeting we worked on our 1 minute company pitch. We all need one, and we need it to be clear and concise. When we are trying to get our foot in the door with a new client, we don’t have much time to make that initial sales pitch for our company, so it needs to be good.
